DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival at Cairo airport, meet & transfer to the hotel

Day 2

Morning tour to;

-Giza pyramids

-The sphinx

-Sakkara

-Memphis

Transfer back to the hotel

Day 3 Embarkation

06:00 a.m. You will meet your tour guide at the hotel in Cairo and drive to Baharya oasis "5 hours" where you will enjoy the tranquility of the Bedouin lifestyle, the date groves and pigeon towers. Baharia Oasis is famous for their palm trees, olives, apricots, rice and corn. Bawiti is the capital of Baharia Oasis that occupies a hillside. The oasis is famous for their 398 mineral and sulphur springs. The most famous are Bir Hakima, Bir Halfa, Bir Al Matar, and Bir El Ghaba". Arrive to Baharya and a Bedouin lunch will be served upon arrival.

In the afternoon, visit the English army house, Black mountain and the hot springs. Continue your tour and visit the golden valley of mummies built during the Greco – Roman period. It was discovered on 17 of April 2001. Four tombs were excavated, and found inside them were 105 mummies, of high-ranking Roman Egyptians, many wearing gold masks. These mummies, many sumptuously decorated with religious scenes, represent the very best of Roman-Period mummies ever found in Egypt. These ancient remains are around 2000 years old, but they have withstood the test of time remarkably well.

This excavation gave us more information about life and death of the Egyptians who lived in Bahariya during the Greco-Roman Period since 332B.C. The people became rich through the exportation of wine to the Nile Valley since pharaonic times.

Day 4

Breakfast, drive for 4 hours in 4x4 Jeep to the white desert. On the way you will visit Black desert, a huge mountain plateaus (as Gilf Kebir which alone is nearly the size of Switzerland), and the large sand dune ocean that is located between the Siwa oasis in northwest to Gilf Kebir in southwest. Continue your tour and visit El Hayez Bedouin village, the Crystal Mountain and El Akkabat Rose desert. Arrive to the white desert. The rock formations of the white desert are often dramatic. You should not miss out on the weird rock balancing, on top of a white pillar. Many of the organized trips here include overnight stay out in the desert. At night, it gets a character reminding of an Arctic landscape.

Day 5

Breakfast, transfer back to Baharyah oases. Stop for lunch and continue driving to Cairo.

Arrive to Cairo & transfer to the hotel
